The beatification in Budapest

During the past years the Archdioces of Esztergom-Budapest and the Society of the Sisters of Social Service examined the life of Sára Salkaházi and the circumstances of her martyrdom. Based on their findings Cardinal Péter Erdõ asked the Holy Father, Benedict XVI, to beatify this Servant of God.

Cardinal Péter Erdõ presided at the Eucharistic Celebration of Beatification that was held in Budapest, on September 17, 2006.
